Grant Funding

Immediate Response Grants
Immediate Response Grants are available for programs that do not fit the Foundation's normal funding objectives and may be awarded to any non-profit 501(c)(3) organization for health and human service programs benefiting under-served populations in Pike County, IL. Immediate Response Grants may be submitted at any time in the calendar year for amounts of up to $3500.00. Immediate Response Grant applications should be submitted in writing to the Foundation office using the attached Grant Application.

Recipient profiles for 2003: no immediate response grants awarded in 2003.

Regular Grants
Regular Grants, the Foundation's primary grants program, may be awarded to any non-profit 501(c)(3) organization for health and human service programs benefiting residents of or individuals seeking health services in
Pike County, IL.

Grants are awarded once a year based on the following schedule:

• Concept Paper Deadline: January 31
  
  
• Proposal Deadline: March 31
  
  
• Board Decision: July 31

When the above dates fall on a weekend, the deadline is the following Monday. Proposals must be received by the Foundation (not post-marked) by the stated deadline. In fairness to all, the Foundation does not extend deadlines for any reason.

Recipient profiles for 2003 – 2004

• The Foundation provided $100,000 in grants payments in 2003.
  
  
• December 2003 – The Foundation made a Cash Award to Illini Community Hospital Capital Campaign. In December of 2003, within their first Funding Cycle, the Foundation gave a leadership gift of $100,000 to Illini Community Hospital of Pittsfield, Illinois in support of Phase One of the New Generation of Caring Capital Campaign.
  
  
• April 2004 – The Foundation made a pledge to Illini Community Hospital Capital Campaign totaling $100,000 to be paid out over 5 years. This pledge makes the Foundation the largest single donor to the Illini Capital Campaign.
